Taminda site for panel shop

Woodley's Motors smash repairs division in Belmore Street, Taminda.

Some of the most modern panelbeating and spray painting equipment available is in use at Woodley's Motors smash repair division in Belmore St, Taminda.

Panelbeating was first introduced into Woodley's motor trimming business about 1966 when the firm was located at 420 Peel St.

It was then carried out at 484 Peel St when the business moved to that location, but when all parts of the operation continued to expand, a more suitable location for the rapidly growing smash repair division had to be found.

Warren Woodley said he acquired the Sandy's Glass Co premises in Belmore St in 1979 and converted them into the smash repair centre.

He said alterations had been carried out in the last 10 years to accommodate new equipment as it became available.

Mr Woodley said 13 people were employed at the Taminda operation.

"It is certainly an extremely significant part of Woodley's Motors operation, ' he said.

Mr Woodley said not only cars sold by Woodley's Motors used the services of the smash repairs division.

It is available to owners of any make or model of vehicle.

A 24-hour towing service is operated in conjunction with the smash repair division.
