Complex puts customer needs under one roof

There have been a number of reasons for the move of Woodley's Motors from Peel Street to the Marius Street complex.

First and foremost was Mr Woodley's desire to have all divisions, apart from smash repairs, centred in the same location.

"If you're planning a change, it's important to do things differently," Mr Woodley said. "At 484-486 Peel St it had ended up just like Topsy, it grew without any rhyme or reason.

"It took half an hour to close up every night - it felt as if there were 57 doors in the place to lock and at the new complex there are only three.
"Everything is ordered, organised and functional," he said.

Mr Woodley said service administration and spare parts needed to be close together which they were not at Peel Street.
More room was needed for the service division and customers wanting to buy used cars could not be serviced efficiently with that car yard separated from the rest of the business.

"We have much better exposure for the whole business on our new highway site," Mr Woodley said.

"But apart from all those reasons, I see the new complex as a prestige area that my customers will find convenient, easy to locate, with all divisions except smash repairs under the one roof.

"I happen to like my customers.

"They've supported me and I wanted to provide a nice facility for them."
